Happy Friday, Beautiful Tribie!

I hope this week has brought you some amazing progress—whether big or small. There’s so much to celebrate, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge all the incredible work you’re doing!

A few of you have joined me on 5 Great Days to Birthday Brilliance (thanks for coining that one Jo). And I hope you’re feeling as amazing as I am. I feel so good and I’m really looking forward to wake up feeling fabulous on my birthday this Saturday.
And no matter what I eat between now and then, nothing can take away what I’ve already achieved this past year.
I feel stronger and leaner, fitter and more free from food than I have ever felt before.
I also feel like I’m moving out of a ‘restful’ period, I’m reinvigorated and ready to raise the bar again for myself. Bring on 43 for me!

This Week’s Calls:

If you missed our coaching calls this week, don’t worry! You can catch the replays here: www.fastmamatribe.com/products/call-replays

  • Reinforcing Habits for the Long-Term: We dove into techniques like habit stacking, visual reminders, and connecting emotionally with our habits to make them stick. These small, consistent actions are the foundation of lasting change.

  • Overcoming Habit Challenges: In our second coaching call, we tackled the most common challenges that disrupt our habits—resistance, fatigue, and boredom. We shared practical ways to overcome these roadblocks, like using the 2-minute rule or adding variety to keep things interesting.

Wednesday Wins Day: 🌟

This week, we also celebrated Wednesday Wins Day, where Tribies shared some incredible victories—big and small. It’s been so inspiring to hear about your progress, and I want to highlight a few wins:

  • Beck - Wednesday win, is looking in the pantry at 9pm and still feeling snacky 15 mins later, remembered to put the kettle on for my tea and started to prepare for tomorrow and the urge passed didn’t have the tea either
  • Sally-Ann - Went out for dinner and had no alcohol and made good food choices. Exercised as much as planned. Drank so much water. Checked in daily. So many wins
  • Sam - I've had lots of wins this week, but walking everyday has just been the best, I'm super proud of myself. Also continuing to step back up and not letting weight be my only driver or measure of success.
  • Me - So many wins for me this week. First of all, this week before my birthday is WAY better than my usual week before my birthday.
My husbands birthday is 13 days before mine and typically that's a bit of a relaxed time of the year. This year it's been relaxed in terms of feelings, and I've been feeling great because I've been living intentionally.
    - Another win is how strong I'm feeling. And that I've increased the level of workout I'm doing. I reckon 8 months ago I would have struggled to do what I do now.
    Others wins this week…
There's been many really small wins of skipping a 2nd serve of chocolate or saying 'not today' to ice cream.
    - I put cake in the freezer so I wouldn't eat it this week and I'm so proud of myself. I've thought about it a few times but not been tempted.
    - I also think having it in the freezer means I don't feel like I need to buy another cake for my birthday. I've got enough and will enjoy what's there.
    - I also thought to book a lunch out with my husband during the week to celebrate my birthday just the two of us, but I'll do that next week because I've committed to myself this week that I'll gift myself 'feeling great' on my birthday.
  • JoJo - Wednesday Win - delayed my coffee to much later in the morning for work. Felt empowering yet only a small step needed!! Habits in the direction!!

It’s these wins that remind us that progress is built bit by bit, and every small success is worth celebrating. Keep showing up for yourself and your goals—you’re doing amazing!

Upcoming Calls:

Next week, we’ve got two great calls lined up:

  • Call #1Troubleshooting Habits for Long-Term Success
  • Call #2Reflecting on Progress and Reassessing Goals

I’ll send out the reminders on time, and I can’t wait to see you there! Remember, you’re always welcome to join in for coaching, whether you’re ready to ask for support or just want to listen and gain insight.

Daylight Savings Reminder!

Heads up, Tribies! Daylight savings ends this weekend in the UK, so remember to adjust your clocks and that next weeks calls will be an hour earlier than they have been. For our US Tribies, daylight savings will end on November 3, so make sure to keep that in mind as well.

Upcoming 28-Day Challenge: Ending the Year Strong!

Starting Monday, November 4, we’ll be kicking off the final stretch of 2024 with the "Ending the Year Strong" 28-Day Challenge! 28-Day Challenge: Becoming Your Best Self

Starting on December 2, we’ll transition into our next 28-Day Challenge with the theme "Becoming Your Best Self." This challenge is all about visualising your future self, reflecting on 2024, and setting powerful intentions for 2025. I’ll share more details as we get closer, but for now, mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss it!

This Weekend: The Monthly Jive

Join us for our fun monthly Jive for Five.

“What is it?” you ask.

The last weekend of each month we hold our Jive For Five.

It started off as a walk or run for 5km and has turned into whatever works for you (like all things in our Tribe).

Whereever you are, however you can, choose an activity and get moving.

Your Jive for Five can be a 5km walk, a YouTube video, or like many Tribies you can choose your own activity that will push you outside of your usual routine.

Many of us wear yellow t-shirts, and many just wear what we want (whatever works for you).

It's surprisingly motivating to see other Tribies all around our world stepping up for Jive For Five. If you want you can snap a pic of yourself on your Jive or afterwards. You can take a pic of your scenery, or record a video. Anything goes. You can also secretly participate if sharing is not your thing.

The purpose of our Jive For Five is to do something many of us wouldn't necessarily do, have a yardstick to measure fitness progress against, and unite and connect as a Tribe.

It's SO much fun. Let’s go!

Final Thought:

As we approach the end of October and prepare for the challenges ahead, take some time this weekend to reflect on your wins and think about how you want to finish the year. You’ve already achieved so much, and I’m so excited to see you continue to grow, thrive, and finish 2024 strong.

Sending you all the love and encouragement,
Lindell xx
