Happy Monday Tribies,
Today I wanted to share my daily check in with you as I think it's got some good information.
The main point to take out of this check in is not that I've radically changed what I'm doing to get a different result, just that I kept practicing doing the steps which changed my thoughts, feelings and actions bit by bit thus changing my results.

Checking in for Monday 1st April! Wahooo!
Incredibly my Easter Sunday increase is only 500g.
I checked back over my last Feast day increase and it was 1.8kg.
Reflecting on what I did differently, I don't actually think there was anything in particular (and I won't know because I don't track exactly what I eat on feast days).
Things that I think may have been the difference between 500g gain and 1.8kg gain are:
- Same guidelines as every feast day but had more awareness and listened to my body more. I didn't deny myself anything I wanted but I did ask myself a lot more "do I really want that?" "how do I feel in my body right now?" "how will I feel tomorrow if I have that?".
- I focused on what my favourites were and prioritised them. At the Indian feasts we joke around and torment anyone who goes hard on entrees (fills up on the snack kind of food before the main meal). Yesterday that was me, I enjoyed the snacks which were 3 different types of masala prawns and a delicious dry pork dish. I had a little bit of cheese and crackers but mainly stuck to the protein. It's been a long time since my sister-in-law reminded me that mains are still to come ha ha. And when she did I said "this food is my favourite food over the mains so I don't care if I fill up on it" (obviously in a kind and appropriate voice/manner). And I did fill up on it. I was feeling full after the snacks.
For mains I dished up a very small amount of the things I wanted to try. And a good serve of salad. I made what we call 'Asian Salad' but had to tell visiting Indian relatives that it was a very Australian salad called 'Asian Salad' ha ha.
- Desserts I just had what I really wanted and left the rest.
- Skipped the afternoon cuppa with cakes and biscuits which I don't usually skip. I skipped them because I had checked in with myself and was full. I thought about how I'd feel if I did have some and it wasn't going to feel good.
- I had 2 beers and lot's of water.
- I did eat 2 hot cross buns in the morning which is what I wanted.
- And I had chocolate throughout the day/evening.
I'm hoping my 500g gain instead of 1.8kg gain is due to an improvement in my metabolic health. No idea how I'll know. But continuing to practice living how I'm living and to collect data will help me see trends.
Plan for today: 1st April and kicking off 30 Days of Practice.
I'm heading to the Easter Show with the kids (no husband because he really doesn't like the Easter Show (neither do I but the kids say it's the best day of their year each year so I make an effort to take them)). Will be lot's of walking to see all the exhibitions and animals. Will be a long day as we're staying for the evening show for the first time ever.
So we're packing our own food (it's super expensive there with huge lines too) and water bottles to refill.
I'll pack myself:
A protein shake.
Yoghurt, berries and seed mix.
Twiggy sticks.
Some sort of vegetable (carrot and or cucumber maybe?)
Not sure about the rest. Might be worth going out of the grounds for dinner at McDonalds and having a bunless burger. Might be a nice break actually before the evening show. Will see. Great to have that option though. Kids would love it (rather than a $15 potato on a stick).
I'll fill out my monthly Snapshot on Tuesday due to today's schedule.
Feeling proud, calm and at the same time a little antsy (I think that's the humming nerves of heading to an 80,000 person crowd.
Power Thoughts:
Pause and breathe.
Be in the now, be present today and enjoy yourself.
Be a fun mum, have fun.
This is a day for the memory banks.
Happy Monday everyone.

Do you ever feel like you're going around in circles not making progress?
We've all felt that way.
Or do you think there's a big personal obstacle that is holding you back?
I offer private coaching for any Tribie who feels like they need extra support and for whatever reason can't achieve the support on Group Coaching calls.
Here's some of the reasons Tribies have booked Private Coaching sessions with me:
- Had been a Tribie for a year and lost weight, kept it off but felt like they had plateaued and needed a kickstart. This client booked regular weekly 25 minute sessions.
- Prima who schedules a session to dive deep on obstacles anytime she feels she needs it. This Prima has been a private client for a number of years and books in her sessions randomly whenever needed.
- New Tribie who wanted one on one support along her journey. We started with 8 weekly 50 minute sessions and now do weekly 25 minute sessions.
- A Tribie who is steady with her weight loss and wanted life coaching. We meet weekly for 25 minute sessions.
- A Tribie who had a significant negative event in their life and wanted support. We met weekly for 50 minute sessions for 4 weeks and then switched to fortnightly 25 minute sessions ongoing.
- So many other reasons such as Parenting, work challenges, relationship challenges, help with planning etc.
As you can see, there's many different reasons and ways to use Private Coaching.
I offer blocks of 4 sessions at a time that can be used any way to suit you.
