Tribe News - 13th February 2023

Happy Monday Tribies.

Today I want to remind you that recognising small steps and improvements is so important.

Acknowledging the changes you have made, the habits, thoughts and actions you now embody compared to how you used to live is a critical component of your continued progress.

I encourage you to spend 5 minutes (set a timer if you need) and write down as many changes you can think of.

Here's a few of mine that might help you get started:

- I fast every single day at least 12 hours.
- I very often fast for 16 hours a day giving my body time to digest and use energy for whatever else it needs to do (heal, rest, rebuild muscle...)
- I actually love myself and am proud of myself.
- I never feel disgusted in myself anymore (I do feel disappointment sometimes and that's ok).
- I live in a calm state a lot more and I have awareness when my body/nervous system shifts into fight or flight mode
- I can leave food on my plate. I no longer have to finish it all.
- I have way less moments of feeling 'full' and having 'eaten too much'.
- I live a WAY more active lifestyle
- I eat WAY more vegetables than I used to and I actually LOVE them.
- I have way less aches and pains (when I'm not gardening).
- I'm aware of how much my mindset impacts my life and I know I have the power to change them.
- I'm way more energetic.
- I eat to feel well and the scales follow.

That's just a few I could think of.

Please do this for yourself and add as many as you can.

We're now in our final week of the 28 Day Boost. It's not too late to get started and it's ALWAYS the right time to keep going.

Let's make this a wonderful week of practice.

Practice that creates progress.

Because we know progress adds us to big results.

Bit by bit, small change by small change.

It ALL adds up.

If you feel like you've not made any progress or you aren't making progress, come get coached.

If you feel stuck, come get coached.

If you feel amazing and like you want to get coached, come get coached.

Get coached my friends.

Don't just survive!
Let's strive, thrive and light up our lives.

Lindell xo

P.S. Happy Galentines Day beautiful Tribies

Tribie Spotlights:

Spotlight Katy Lou:
Today we spotlight the beautiful Katy Lou who has been prioritising herself and striving for her goals.
Here's what Katy posted Friday:

"Omg! I only went and blasted through my “going on Tenerife” goal! It’s only Friday and I weigh 159lbs! My goal was 161lbs by Sunday! I kept getting on and off those scales thinking they were broken! I have been trying hard to do thought work and stacking my habits … and not making it all about the weight so this is the icing on the cake. I am really deeply satisfied in the journey! πŸ’•βœ¨πŸ’«πŸŒŸ Because I know that is what I will be doing the rest of my life. πŸ’•

A massive well done Katy, not because you achieved your goal but because you have done it in the way you want to live the rest of your life. You are enjoying the journey! That's how we do it. Well done. I hope you have the most amazing holiday.

Spotlight Linda LaComb:

This week Linda achieved her Superbowl goal (Thanks Liza for letting us know and celebrating your buddy) πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Linda's Check in "138.8! inadvertent 24hr fast yesterday looking forward to enjoying my exception meal tomorrow with no stress/shame/food drama! The 6 steps r all need πŸ™‚

Congratulations Linda, you've been chipping away at your goals and making progress. A massive well done.

Spotlight Sally Rasmussen:

"I joined this group a long time ago … I’ve been a lurker. Big time. Now I’m showing up more, sharing where I’m at and and hoping it helps someone.

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since my last sugar binge. I can’t say if there will ever be another one. But if there is then I will know that I can take control and it doesn’t have to lead to weeks off plan.

I’ve been lurking soooo long. I’ve been listening to many podcasts. I’ve been getting therapy / coaching etc and one thing that I  know - the coaching delivered to this group is WORLD CLASS. It’s exceptional, it’s intelligently delivered. If you’re lurking like I have been - get coached. It’ll change your life. And you deserve that.

Thank you Lindell Pereira and everyone who supports on here … finally feel like I’m on my path to Prima!"

A massive well done Sally. Deciding to step up for yourself, prioritise you and do the work for YOU. Well done.

Spotlight Amelie Frie:

And finally Amelie Frie has celebrated 1 year as a Tribie this week. Here's who Amelie shared:
"
Over 1 year in the tribe. Feeling proud and happy for the progress, all the lessons learned and stepping back up over and over again. I’ve left behind 16,4 kg and have 3 kg to go.
Yesterday I listened to Catriona Wright prima interview. Really inspiring and helpful if you want an extra boost! Have a great weekend 🀍"

Well done Amelie, keep going! You've made changes for life, you're on your journey. Keep dancing!

New to the Tribe?

If you're new to the Tribe, or returning after some time away, the best place to start is with the 28 Day Boost. Keep it simple, just the 28 Day Boost and you will be well on your way.

There's lot's of other lessons and masterclasses to watch Backstage but they'll be there for you another day.
For these 28 Days, focus on the Boost.

If you are unsure of the time for you check the 'whats on' section of our Backstage area here: www.fastmamatribe.com/whatson

Buddies:

A BUDDY IS SOMEONE YOU SHARE YOUR JOURNEY.

**This is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.**

Someone who understands you, who holds you accountable, who checks in on you if you've been missing in action, and who you can share wins and falls with.

They know what you're going through, because they are too, no matter what weight each of you are at, the challenges are similar.

I've had a number of accountability buddies over my journey. Some at the same time, some every other month. I've found the switch in buddies has helped me keep motivated.

If you want to switch it up you can, if you want to keep your current buddy you can do that too.

Here in the Fast Mama Tribe it’s not personal if you want to explore. It can be motivating switching it up.

Find a partner that works for you. Try on different buddies, maybe a new buddy each month will motivate you most.

Like a good pair of jeans, find what fits you best.

Ready to try a buddy?

Comment on the facebook post HERE.
Share a little about you, how you like communicating, how often you want to check-in and anything else that gives people a good idea what you want and need.

If you see someone you want to buddy, comment and ask them.

Not on Facebook? Email [email protected]

This week Kimberley Simpson will be matching up everyone who has requested a buddy (but hasn't got a match yet) and introducing each of you to your new buddy.

Tribie Question:

I've created a new section in our Tribe News area called 'Tribie Question'. There was a very good question asked in the community this week with such valuable responses, I wanted a place to capture it for everyone to revisit if or when you need it.

You can view the section here: https://www.fastmamatribe.com/blog?tag=tribie+question

Have a question? Either ask it in the Facebook Group (remember you can post anonymously) or email your question to [email protected] and the team will ask it for you.

What's On:

To find out what's on and see the times in your local time zone check the 'whats on' section of our Backstage area here: www.fastmamatribe.com/whatson

Events of note:

March will be 31 Days of Practice πŸ₯³πŸ’ƒ more details coming next Monday

Our next Public Last Start Challenge will be Monday 10th April.

I'll be hosting a Masterclass Wednesday 22nd March called "Creating Freedom from Food". This will be a free Masterclass for Tribies. It will cost $7 for non-Tribies. Further details will be shared in early March.
