Happy happy Monday my friend.
It's week 2 of 31 Days of Practice (for most Tribies. But not for all. Some of you are finishing your 28 Day Boost, some of you have just started it. That's one of the things I LOVE most about our Tribe, we do what we want, what works for us, when we need/want to do it. We take ownership of our own lives and we make decisions for ourselves. We show up for ourselves first and foremost, use the tools and Tribe for ourselves and then we connect and support others).
This week I want to encourage you to practice 2 things:
Practice using the hunger scale - even if you're counting calories I believe you'll need the hunger scale long term for life. Learn how to use the hunger scale here: https://www.fastmamatribe.com/products/foundation-program/categories/4641591/posts/15594405
Practice feeling your feelings - If you haven't been doing this you can start gently. Start by pausing throughout your day, scanning your body for sensations and asking yourself "what am I feeling right now?". Give yourself permission to not know and take a guess at what you're feeling. If you're starting from near where I started you'll have no awareness at all. You might even think (like I did) that this is a waste of time, but I can tell you now from lot's and lot's of practice that learning how and becoming confident at feeling your feelings will change your life.
If you have any questions about either of these please ask them in the Facebook Group or on the Group Coaching Calls.
I am feeling amazing, I am living as the version of me I want to be even when circumstances around me are not what I'd hoped for. And I want that so much for you too. And I believe with such confidence the 2 practices above will help you create that for yourself.
A note to anyone who thinks their not going well, anyone who is trying to 'sort themselves out' especially if you're trying to do that before you come and get coached... STOP!
Stop trying to 'fix' yourself and 'correct' yourself.
We are all equal here.
Not one of us is superior to another.
We are all humans, in a Tribe community learning, growing and living.
We are all imperfect and real.
Please please please don't wait to be 'better' before you put your hand up for help.
Don't wait to be 'better' before you start living your life.
Life waits for no one.
And I've spent too much money and time investing in my coaching skills for you not to use them.
Show up as you are and receive my help.
Also, you have permission to receive my help when you are on track and things are going great too.
There's seriously no requirement for coaching other than being able to hear each other on the line.
In summary: Don't wait, get coached.
Let's have a wonderful week of practice and progress Tribies.
Love Lindell xo

"Had to pop into a shop after the school run which is unusual for me and I saw my kinda cake ( of course it had two in the packet ) I negotiated with myself gave in and picked it up … walked around the store arguing back n fourth then amazingly put it back and said no you don’t need this it will make you feel rubbish and will dent your confidence for the whole day / week .
I walked around getting the rest of my things and almost gave in and went back to get them . I didn’t ! Win at home now getting a black coffee ( trying this out ) I am a person who is able to say no to the cakes even when my toddler is screaming for them "

"For most of February, a lot of March and nearly all of April, I have been/will be away from home and my scales. For most of February I was on a road trip, around Nz, staying in motels, eating in cafes or pubs. Next week I’m off to Australia for seven weeks. The first week with friends in Melbourne. (There is a saying “never start a diet in Melbourne “ as there is so much good food there). Then a long weekend away with my daughter and her partner. Then a two week road trip in Victoria and Canberra. And then three weeks plus with my other daughter in WA.
I am so lucky to be having all these adventures.
I am coping with it by practicing for my future life.
Fast till lunchtime. Try to eat to the hunger scale.
Have a glass of wine and maybe the odd ice cream.
Don’t worry.
Enjoy myself
I might do some checking in. If not, see you in May!"

"Weight update: +0,8 kg
Feeling after the scale:
Amazed and really proud of myself. Knowing I have cared for myself most of the time."

"Day 3 of 28 Day Boost - still practicing, keeping my eye on that goal! Still eating too many starchy foods, but sticking to fasting 16:8 and around 1,000 calories a day. Will re-adjust my food choices when I am more in the habit of practicing. For the moment, happy with what keeps me going (like Lindell's first last start meal of buttered toast!)."
