Tribies, this weekend was our Monthly Jive ππ₯³π
We had women around the world getting out there, doing things they don't usually do.
This month was different though, this month you decided what would be best for you and then you did that. It wasn't all 5km runs.
Here's some highlights shared by Tribies for those not on Facebook:
Helen Goddard
#Jive4five 12 km in windy Sweden
(wish I could share the wonderful video here)
Joanne Heeps
My #Jive4Five was actually 12 mins of guided mediation from the app ‘Meditation’. It was called ‘unwind the mind’. I’m planning to do more of these to calm and clear my mind.

Jive for 5. As a mum to a 7 month old, physical exercise is not something im lacking. Relaxation is though! Being on the go from the moment i wake to the moment head hits pillow is what causes mindless eating. Husband currently out with baby for walk. Im having 5 minutes of doing absolutely nothing, no tv, no chores, no thinking about chores, just the sound of silence.

Snow day! Did my “long “ run (11km) on Friday so today was snow, doggies and !
So darn good. I LOVE how different they all are and that each of them is you stepping out of your norm, doing something for YOU!
The 60 Day Challenge Week 4 Lesson is up in the Backstage area here: https://www.fastmamatribe.com/products/masterclasses-mini-courses/categories/2149531735/posts/2155370716
I go on a little bit of a rant in the video BUT I mean what I say.
Watch it!
This week in my coaching session with my coach we worked on me living in the present moment and acknowledging what I've achieved (surprise surprise, this is something I've been getting coached on for about 6 months).
To not continuously push forward relentlessly to the next goal.
I've always been driven and I love that about myself.
BUT if we're driven to keep pushing forward and achieving without pausing to acknowledge what we've achieved we will NEVER find what we think achieving that next goal will give us.
It doesn't matter what the goal or what area of life. To not recognise your achievements and to keep chasing 'better' will be a neverending quest.
My coach was going through what we'd been through before, and I was trying SO hard to grasp what she was trying to show me.
We went around and around in circles until I said:
"I get what you're saying BUT what's the point in stopping and pausing? It just seems like a waste of time"
(side note, I 100% know the point for you Tribies and everyone else, but my cheeky brain thinks thought there was no point for me).
So we looked at what the point is and my coach listed off a number of points but the one that hit me the most and shifted my thinking permanently was:
"why not!? You can access a hit of dopamine just by thinking about something you did and you're proud of. And you can use that hit of dopamine to move you forward to your next goal. WHY NOT celebrate your wins over and over? Why not get that hit of dopamine over and over? The other option is to NOT do it and why would you not!"
Thinking about it as a hit of dopamine really hit it home for me.
We can totally choose in the moment to remember what we've achieved, how much weight we've lost since our last start, how awesome we've done so far.
You get to decide, do I want to remember what I've achieved and decide to feel amazing and proud about it or do I want to ignore it and slug away at it with effort.
SO my friends, with that share I want to encourage you to pause for a minute and think about where you started. How you were living life, what your mindset was like, what your thoughts and hopes for the future were.
Then think about where you are today. How you feel, what your mindset is, how much it's grown and what your hopes, dreams and belief is for your future.
So fun.
Light up your life!
